Find tips and tricks to use decoupage glue and fine glitter to turn a boring bottle of booze into a sparkly, shiny centerpiece for a 21st birthday girl!
- Liquor bottle
- Plastic Wine Goblets
- Decoupage Glue
- Pearl beads
- Glue Gun
- Large bowl
- Foam brush
First, before you start any decoupage glue project, make sure you protect your surface with newspapers or scrap material. When glittering it helps to use a bowl to contain the glitter.
Apply decoupage glue on the wine glass stems.
Hold wine glass over the large bowl and pour glitter over the glue surface to cover. Continue covering all stems with a coat of glitter and set aside to dry.
Once dry, apply a second coat of decoupage glue on the glittered stems to help seal the glitter.
Repeat the same steps above for the liquor bottle.
Consider doing different color glitters, even mixing the glitter in the middle for an ombre effect!
For an extra special touch, glue pearl beads around certain areas for an extra design. Consider outlining the liquor’s label, go around the neck of the bottle or continue along a specific curve or shape of the bottle design.
Once all is dry, cute small lengths of tulle and add to wine glass stems. Glue on pearl beads for accents.
On the big night, your gaggle of girls will be ready for all the fun toasts and delicious sips with their sparkly, custom wine glasses made by you! Don’t forget the fun paper straws so they keep their lipgloss looking flawless!
