Decoupage Graduation
Spread the love

Graduation season is fast-approaching, and if you happen to have someone special in your life who is about to achieve that milestone, whether it be from preschool, kindergarten, high school, or college, you probably feel like the time is going by way too quickly. Although it seems like the years are slipping away, there’s still plenty of time to channel some of that bubbling excitement (or possible simmering anxiety) and create an easy, yet impactful décor piece for your home.

Wholesale Party Supplies is here to show you exactly how to spruce up your mantel with a few napkins and that special graduate in mind.

Here’s what you need:

Materials List

Once your supplies are gathered, cut desired design sections from napkins. Apply a thin even coat of decoupage medium to the number then lay napkin on top, smoothing as you go.

Trim excess napkin from around number and allow to dry. Once glue is no longer wet to the touch, use a nail file to sand napkin flush with the number’s edge. [TIP: hold file perpendicular to edge while sanding.]

Seal napkin to number with a final coat of decoupage medium then set aside to dry. Repeat above steps with remaining numbers.

Trace shadowbox backer board onto poster board then cut out. When dry, attach numbers to poster board and insert finished piece into frame.
