Here are a bunch of fun spring and summer party games & activities the kiddos won’t soon forget!

The weather is getting warmer…and there are certainly many reasons to throw a party. Perhaps your child is celebrating his or her birthday or you’re in charge of your neighborhood block party. Whatever the reason, below are some great ideas for games and activities for outdoor parties.

We’ll be adding to this list so stay tuned each week for fresh, new ideas!

Egg on a Spoon:

colored eggs and spoonsHard boil enough eggs for your little guests. Give each guest a plastic spoon and line them up on the starting line. Then give each guest one egg upon their spoon. On the count of “3,” each guest has to take their egg and run to the finish line as fast as they can while balancing their egg. If they drop their egg, they’re out! But the kiddo who crosses the finish line egg in tact, wins!

Shoe Box Foot Relay:

– Round up or ask guests to bring two shoe boxes to the party. Begin by taping the lids to each of the boxes and then cut out a 1-2 inch slit in each top. Have the kids slip their feet into each of the boxes and line them up for a fun-to-watch, fun-to-participate in race!

Potato Sack Relay:Party Games

– Purchase or locate 4 burlap potato sack bags. Divide your guests into four relay teams. Set up cones or markers to indicate the start and finish line. Have each guest hop in their burlap bag to the cone and back and then swap bags with their next team member. The first team to complete the relay wins a prize and bragging rights!

Ask guests to place the tennis ball between their knees. On the count of “3,” guests have to wiggle worm their way to the finish line but if they drop the ball, they have to start over. The first guest to the finish line wins.

Heel to Toe Race:

– Line up guests in a straight line. Each player has to walk heel to toe, heel to toe from the start to the finish line. They must put their heel directly in front of their toes and go as fast as they can. The first person to cross the finish line gets a prize.
