Invitations
If you don’t have the time or cash for a completely personalized invitation you can make a store bought design a little more fancy with the help of decorative die cut shapes or a touch of glitter accents!
Decorations
Be inspired by the “Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky” lines from Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and create a sky scene behind your food table. Follow this tutorial to create a downward facing balloon arch using white latex balloons and hang a gold fringe curtain behind this display to add more shine. The best part about this decoration: no helium is required as a balloon strip and command hooks are all you need! Choose from a good selection of coordinating Twinkle Pink products.
Keep the pink and gold color scheme going with the place settings at the table. Use gold placemats as the base and layer matching tableware on top.
Skip the flowers and make mini bouquet centerpieces from newborn diapers that the mom-to-be can use after the shower.
Letterboards and light boxes are on trend right now so invest in one and pull it out for your party décor. Tip: it makes a great gift for the baby’s nursery after the shower.
Food
Take advantage of the morning light and treat the mom-to-be and her guests to a healthy brunch complete with a parfait bar! Display an assortment of toppings with different textures to scoop, fill and mix into your perfect yogurt creations.
Wrap homemade or store bought muffins in colorful cupcake wrappers and insert a star topper inside as an extra special touch.
Make your beverage selection a little more classy by pouring it in a flute glass with a decorative paper straw.
Activities
There’s little chance you can escape a baby shower without playing some sort of silly game! Skip the old “what’s in my diaper” melted chocolate bar game and get those women digging around their purses for the ultimate scavenger hunt! Some women carry everything but the kitchen sink in their bags so let’s see what treasures they can pull out with a Purse Scavenger Hunt!
